Dual DMX512 cross patch and playback

The Cue-Patch™ 1024 is a multifunction solution for DMX512-A soft patching, backup and show control. The product provides two DMX512-A inputs and two DMX512-A outputs.

Soft Patch Operation:

Any input channel can be patched to control any group of output channels.

Programming is performed either using the in-build LCD and keypad, or using the RS232 PC link.

Editing of patch information is simplified by the extensive use of keypad commands such as And, Thru and At.

A total of 10 patches can be recorded.

Cue & Sequence Playback:

Cue-Patch can record 400 full level Cues and 20 Sequences.

Cues and Sequences may be programmed using the LCD & keypad.

Playback is initiated from the menu controls. Additionally, any four playback or patch change commands can be assigned to the four macro keys.

Cue-Patch also features an Auto-Backup mode. Any Cue can be selected to fade in should the received DMX512 signal fail.

An additional eight macro's can be triggered by eight remote trigger inputs.

Display & Analysis:

Users of Micro-Scope will be familiar with the display and analysis functions provided by Cue-Patch. Received data from either universe can be displayed in a range of data formats which include Bargraph, Decimal and Percent.

Cue-Patch is also able to transmit DMX512 test patterns for rig checking when the main console is not available.

Please note that the PC editor CP-Edit is no longer an active product. It is still available for download but will not operate on any version of Windows above Windows 95.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What operating systems can I use with CP-Edit for Common-Sense?
  Windows 95 / Windows 98 / Windows ME.
• Cannot set a fade time below 1 second.
  When setting fade times, you must define whether the range is from 1 second to 10 hours or from 0.1s to 1 hour. The range is set by pressing the soft key marked "1s/.1s"
• I need a system to take control of the show if the lighting console fails.
  We have a number of products that can do this. Micro-Scope 3a can monitor the console and switch to a static backup scene if the console fails. Cue-Patch can fade to a static or dynamic scene on console failure. Four-Play provides tracking backup of both DMX and Art-Net with up to 4 universes. Dimmer-Switch has a live DMX fader that offers manual backup. Rail-Flip is a 4 universe DMX512 change-over with manual or automatic fail-over.
