MIDI-DMX
MIDI to or from DMX512 convertor
MIDI-DMX™ allows translation between DMX512 and MIDI or MIDI and DMX512.The product has numerous show control applications including:
1) Triggering multimedia events from a lighting console
2) Interfacing to Dataton Trax
3) Replaying lighting by a MIDI Sequencer
Operation is as follows:
MIDI to DMX512:
The three thumbwheels to the left of the panel allow the input MIDI channel and Note offset to be selected. The data obtained from incoming MIDI Note commands is then translated to DMX512 output data.
The DMX512 output can additionally be offset to a base address selected by the three thumbwheels on the right of the panel.
The eight push buttons are able to toggle on or off, MIDI notes starting at the note selected by the input thumbwheels.
The eight relay outputs are controlled in the same manner.
DMX512 to MIDI:
The three thumbwheels to the left of the panel allow the base address of the input DMX512 to be set. The data obtained from incoming DMX512 is then translated to MIDI output data.
The MIDI output is additionally offset by Channel and Note as selected by the three thumbwheels on the right of the panel.
The eight push buttons are able to toggle on or off DMX512 channels starting at the base address selected by the input thumbwheels.
The eight relay outputs are controlled in the same manner.
