The Protocol-Converter™ is our solution to all those irritating little compatibility problems!

The product supports two merged inputs which can be independently selected to receive:

DMX512 (USITT)
Avab (Avab)
S20 (ADB)
D54 (Strand)
AMX192 (USITT)
CMX (Colortran)

Each input can be offset from channel one and is then merged to the output.

The output protocol can also be selected from the above list.

The DMX512 inputs are optically isolated.

Lamps flicker when using S20 protocol. (1)
When using the ADB S20-Demux version 1226 (which is identified by the metal DIN connectors), flickering problems can occur. This is due to noise pickup in the S20-Demux. A simple modification to the ADB product solves the problem: Remove capacitor C12 and solder a wire link across D8 such that the component is shorted.
Lamps flicker when using S20 protocol. (2)
Check the S20 cables. The screen should be connected to the ground pin, not the chassis of the connector.
