Mains relay with DMX512 control

In theatre, touring and architectural applications there are invariably some devices that do not provide a useful form of remote control.

Rail-Switch™ is an elegant solution to the automation of these devices. Housed in a high impact DIN Rail mounting case, Rail-Switch provides six mains voltage relays with DMX512 and RDM Draft V1.0 support.

The control interface uses DMX512 and RDM or remote Device Management. The RDM interface allows the start address to be set by the console over the DMX512 cable. RDM also allows the product to receive firmware upgrades and run diagnostics tests.

In the event that the console does not support RDM, Jump-Start can be used to set the start address.

DMX512 loop through and termination options are provided.

Applications include animatronics, fog machines, theatre practicals, cue lights and video remote control.

Please note that the switch circuits must be externally fused. Rail-Switch is not designed to switch inductive loads. If you need to do so, we recommend connection of an external contactor.
